Some thoughts about
making litters.
We don't have kittens quite often - only one-two times a year, cause I
want to concentrate on one litter with 100% energy at a time. Also this is
because we people have our daily routines in which work is a big part of
life. Taking care of kittens & adult cats is another big project which
takes a lot of time. Combining these two elements together has to be made
so that both cats and people feel good.
I
want to see how the kittens develop & grow & that they all will have good,
loving homes before making any new matings. I plan the matings carefully
before any decicion, so each litter is made with a reason.
Sometimes the females don't get into heat for a long time, they need a
time to recover from the last litter, or the cats need more time to
develop or then they just don't want to mate with each other. Also
sometimes the health can be the factor why some cats are not qualified for
breeding. In other words, we respect the wish of nature & are grateful
every time for each litter that has given us with strong & healthy kittens.
Always there are new things you are not prepared for, but have to keep
that in mind when planning the litters. All plans can be turned upside
down by the wish of the nature. :) So, we hope for the best & are prepared
for the defeat. ;)

Joitakin ajatuksia
Meillä ei ole usein
pentuja - vain 1-2 pentuetta vuodessa, koska haluan panostaa siihen, että
yksi pentue saa 100% huomion kerrallaan. Tämä siksi, koska meillä
ihmisillä on myös oma arki, johon työ kuuluu isona osana elämää ja
pentujen sekä aikuisten kissojen hoito on toinen aikaavievä työ sen
lisäksi. Nämä kaksi asiaa pitää pystyä sovittamaan yhteen, niin että
kaikki voivat hyvin. :)
Katson miten pennut kehittyvät ja kasvavat ja että kaikki saavat
arvoisensa hyvät kodit, ennen uusien suunnitelmien toteuttamista. Jokainen
yhdistelmä on tarkkaan mietitty miksi se tehdään, joten kaikilla
pentueilla on tarkoitus.
Joskus naaraat eivät aktivoidu juoksuun pitkään aikaan, ne tarvitsevat
pitemmän ajan toipuakseen edellisestä pentueesta tai kissat tarvitsevat
enemmän aikaa kehittyä ja kasvaa tai eivät halua yksinkertaisesti tehdä
jälkeläisiä toistensa kanssa. Myös terveys voi olla tekijä, miksi
jotkut kissat eivät sovellu kasvatukseen. Toisin sanoen, kunnioitamme
luonnon rytmiä ja olemme kiitollisia jokaisesta onnistuneesta pentueesta,
jossa on vahvoja, terveitä pentuja. Aina tulee uusia asioita joihin ei ole
varautunut. Tämä täytyy pitää mielessä joka kerta, että suunnitelmat
voivat kaikelta osin mennä aina uusiksi sen mukaan miten luonto päättää.
:) Toivomme parasta ja olemme varautuneita epäonnistumiseen.
Kissojen onnellisuudesta emme tingi, se on tärkeintä kaikessa! :)
